This past month has been a time of change and transition for those of us at Project Church. Many were unsure of what was going to happen and some even wondered if “Project Church” still existed. There has been a lot of misinformation floating around and we thought it time to clear the air.
Yes, we are still here! We’re alive and kicking and excited about all that God is doing within our church family and within our community. It’s true that we’re stepping into a new chapter and we’re already seeing God orchestrate in a way only He can do. There have been a few changes, one being that Missional Communities are starting back up! This is a fantastic opportunity to dive deeper into community and relationship as we connect with friends and practice living life together. If you’re interested in learning more or interested in starting your own Missional Community, please contact Teresa McBride for more information.
We’ve also started a rotation of teaching from three of our PC leaders. Peter Franz, Jesse Fagerland and Jason Stamper will be sharing messages during our Sunday morning gatherings. If you missed last Sunday, make sure to check out the podcast. Peter Franz asked the question, “ Who am I?” It’s an awesome word challenging us to examine our own identity. Definitely worth the listen.
All of us at Project are far from perfect, but we’re committed to loving God, loving people, and living free. We have a burden for this city, a heart to build an authentic community of fellowship and a deep passion to continue to grow in our relationship with Jesus. We believe that religion, as a system of belief, fails in comparison to a genuine relationship with Christ. We are messed up people, and only through the grace of God are we made anew. At Project Church all arrows point toward Him and we welcome, with open arms, all who are exploring and all who genuinely want to know Jesus.
We invite you to come check us out this Sunday, 10am at the Elks Theatre in downtown Rapid City. Bring your family and friends and feel free to spread the word!
We’re sticking around. And we hope you do, too.

Announcing the next chapter of the Project Church story following the resignation of pastor Jason Salamun at the end of the year.
(Note: At the end of the message, there is some Q & A. Pardon the audio quality as one of the mic’s didn’t pick up.)

Ready for a dare?
We dare you to join us in our Romans reading plan over the next few weeks with us and remain unchanged. The book of Romans is considered to be one of the most significant selections in all of scripture. It’s like a friend who will be honest with you no matter what yet will love you no matter what too. The point isn’t to read the scriptures for information, but for transformation, and that’s what this reading plan is designed to do.
As you read, pray for God to open your heart and mind, and use the following questions to to help guide you:
- What verse(s) stood out to you?
- Why is standing out to you?
- What does it reveal about who God is?
- What does God want you to do with this?
Start Monday, July 11
7/11 – Romans 1
7/12 – Romans 2
7/13 – Romans 3
7/14 – Romans 4
7/15 – Romans 5
7/16 – Catch up day (if needed)
7/17 – Read Proverbs Day
7/18 – Romans 6
7/19 – Romans 7
7/20 – Romans 8
7/21 – Romans 9
7/22 – Romans 10
7/23 – Catch up day (if needed)
7/24 – Read Proverbs Day
7/25 – Romans 11
7/26 – Romans 12
7/27 – Romans 13
7/28 – Romans 14

We pray reading through Romans will ignite a spark in our souls to make a difference because of what Christ did for us.
